Hi there! Welcome to Potamus.

My name is Vanessa Fisher. I'm a SAHM to 3 beautiful and busy kids and wife to the long suffering and eternally supportive Mr Potamus. I also love to run - particularly in the forest but I will run anywhere haha.

Before children, my background was in Fashion Design and Interior Design. After the birth of our first son I got itchy feet (or hands might be the better word). I sat down at my sewing machine and began creating bits and pieces for kids.  Word got around and the rest, as they say, is history.

Everything you see here on my website is designed and produced by me at our little cottage in Rotorua, New Zealand.  I'm a one-mummy band - I do it all from shopping for fabric through to dropping your parcel off at the courier depot.

I prefer to do small runs so you can guarantee your little potami will own something totally unique and original.  If you would like to discuss a custom made item, please feel free to message me using the 'Contact' button or through my Facebook page.

I am more than happy to ship anywhere in NZ or internationally.  For international postage enquiries please contact me and I will return to you with a price.
